Our board members represent not only decades of business, real-world experience, but also have been actively involved in cause-based non-profits and are dedicated to making the world a better place. We are dedicated to increasing scale and effectiveness of impact donations, venture philanthropy and impact investing around the world. Our board works with the intention to generate positive, measurable social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.

Eric

Today Eric is principal at his strategy and innovation consultancy Perspicacity Group, which focuses on innovation, growth and building value in businesses regardless of their size. For the past 25 years, he has applied his consultation experience and knowledge to C-level executives from the fortune 500 through participating in the commercialization and exit strategies for 10 start-ups.

Eric has bachelor’s degrees in mathematics, Finance, Business and Economics, as well as two master’s degrees in business (MBA) and a MIS in Computer Science from institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, Robert Morris University, and the University of Pittsburgh. Eric has been an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship and entrepreneur in residence and speaker at ASU and Thunderbird School of Management giving presentations on entrepreneurship, venture funding and building value in growing companies.

Having moved to Arizona to care for his mother suffering with MS, he has had direct experience with many support and healthcare organizations. Because of his experience and professional involvement with numerous nonprofits, he identified many inefficiencies within the current systems, and identified opportunities to improve processes in those industries.

Arnie

Arnie currently works as Chief Strategy Officer for Pipitone, a mid-sized, award-winning integrated marketing firm in Pittsburgh, PA. He began his entrepreneurial career in 1983, as a co-founder of High Technology Associates, one of the nation’s first firms dedicated to the concept of database marketing. That business was acquired by a small Pittsburgh agency that grew to become Brunner, a top 100 ad agency in the U.S. While there, he led the acquisition and was General Manager of Lighthouse Interactive, building websites and other digital services for Fortune 100 companies in the mid-90’s.

He received his BA and MLS in Information Sciences and Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh. His continuing education included Executive Education, Business Marketing Strategy from Harvard Business School.

In his most recent position as a Board member for Cognigence, his passion for helping others is clear, by his volunteer work for the Alzheimer’s Association, serving on multiple committees and then serving as Board Chair for the state of Pennsylvania. He currently heads the Life and Legacy committee for Temple Ohav Shalom where he also served on the Board, multiple committees and is a Past-President. Today, much time is spent helping recovering alcoholics and addicts in their 12-step journey to a better life.

Jeremy

Jeremy currently works directly with CEOs to growth their business, as a strategic advisor, investor and board member. Jeremy spent years in corporate America scaling technology and people processes using Six Sigma principles.  He has helped numerous businesses scale and achieve sustainability via strong profits. Having started several ventures, he most recently co-founded a boutique management consulting firm for growth-stage companies in North America, exiting in 2021. He was also the managing partner for an AZ-based investment fund. Jeremy is adjunct faculty in Strategic Management at GCU.

He received his BS in Accountancy from University of Arizona and MBA from Arizona State UNiversity.

In his most recent position as a Board member for Cognigence,  his passion for helping others is highlighted by his prior service as Board chair for Hustle USA, a CDFI helping under-resourced individuals start small businesses.  Jeremy currently serves as Finance chair for Another Round Another Rally, which deployed over $3MM to underrepresented populations during the COVID pandemic and connects the hospitality workers to affordable healthcare.  He is also on the board of a private college in Virginia whose mission is to bring higher education to all, regardless of background.  He spends much of his time in downtown Phoenix, AZ, with his Med/Peds trained wife and two joyful daughters.
